Bruce MacDonald
Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer; Prior to joining VCIMCO, Bruce was the Chief Investment Officer and a founding partner of liquid alternatives pioneer Simple Alternatives where he co-managed the S1 Fund, Simple Alternatives’ multi-manager hedged mutual fund. Prior to the founding of Simple Alternatives, Bruce was a Director at the University of Virginia Investment Management Company (“UVIMCO”) where he served as Chair of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining UVIMCO, Bruce a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Putnam Investments Global Asset Allocation Team. Bruce began his investment career as an Investment Coordinator with the Columbia University Investment Management Company. Bruce received his MBA from Columbia Business School and his BA in Religion from Wesleyan University.
